New From Barry M: Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint

Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Polishes
You all know I have quite the obsession with BarryM and their nail polishes now don't you?! If you didn't where have you been. Well to say that I was rather excited when I spotted some newbies, the other day is a massive understatement.

They've just launched their new line of Coconut Infused Gel polishes,
and I'm in love. Literally deeply in love. Lol

There are nine polishes in the range, all are lovely nude/pastel shades. My favourite sort of shades, I picked up three. I have Skinny Dip, Tiki Hut and Surfboard. Skinny dip is a lovely white/cream colour which is just beautiful, tiki hut is a stunning light brown which is so lovely on the nails and surfboard is a lovely lilac purple shade. I haven't tried surfboard yet but I'm sure I'll love it as I have quite the purple polish obsession.

So what is a coconut infused nail polish? You may be wondering, well BarryM have infused these polishes with a blend of coconut water and coconut oil to help, hydrate and nourish the nails while wearing it. Containing a blend of vitamins and anti-oxidising ingredients too they promise to give you stronger, healthier and brighter looking nails. Also being a gel polish they give a gorgeous glossy look to the nails when applied.

As I've only just got these I can't comment on whether they will do all that's promised, but when I took off skinny dip the other night, I have to say that my nails did not seem dry at all. Which if you wear nail polish regularly you'll know is usually an issue.

It's recommended not to use a base coat with these, which felt rather odd for me as I always put on a base coat first. But I went with it and applied two thin coats, allowing the first to dry completely before applying the second. It was super quick drying which I loved, I mean who has time to wait around for their nails to dry! And looked very glossy, also after wearing for around three days, hardly any chipping had appeared and all that I'd noticed was the edges looking a little worse for wear.

So does it smell like coconut? I bet you're wondering, well I personally can't say I can smell any coconut, but have a smell for yourself and let me know what you reckon.

Overall for first impressions on these, I am really impressed. I mean I love almost all of BarryM's nail varnishes anyway, so I may be a little biased but I am really enjoying these atm. Head over to my Instagram now where you can see a pic of me wearing Tiki Hut. It's fast becoming my favourite shade to wear, and in the summer with a tan will look even more amazing.

If you fancy picking these up there's a fab offer with Superdrug atm to get the full set just click here...

  5. I've really recently given up biting my nails (to deathhhh) after years of doing it so my nails absolutely need something nourishing in a polish! These look great for that, and the colours are gorgeous too!
