Review ~ Garnier Miracle Wake Up & Sleeping Cream

Every now and then I get occasions when I obsess over things and it's usually beauty based obsessions. My beauty collection is ever expanding and to be honest I probably need help. lol But if I didn't have this problem I wouldn't have anything to blog about now would I? And today's post atcually stemmed from a said obsession over a beauty product or in this case two.
I love a good browse around my local Superdrug store pretty much every day so I usually notice
straight away when a new product comes out. Well that s exactly what happened when I spotted a lovely purple packaging down the skincare aisle. It was the Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream that caught my eye, and as soon as I picked it up I knew I'd love it.

Do you remember my post on the lovely bouncy sleeping mask from the body shop? It's here if you missed it. Well this sleeping cream from garnier has a very similar texture and when applied to the skin feels so lovely and silky. It contains seven active ingredients LHA, Adenosine, Albizia, Hyaluronic acid, Ruscus extract and Jojoba oil, that are supposed to help with anti-ageing signs. I'm really not sure what each is supposed to help with but I know that every good skincare product needs hyaluronic acid inside and jojoba oil is in most of my body lotions so it must be good. Plus it contains essential lavender oil which aids sleep. With all that packed inside I bet you're thinking does it actually work?

Well I truly believe it does. From the first use to my most recent I will say that I have noticed an improvement in my skins dryness and the overall texture. Its states on the packaging that wrinkles appear reduced, skin feels firmer and plumper and I have to agree on the later, as for the wrinkles appearing reduced, I can't really comment as I'm lucky and haven't noticed an issue with them yet!

Also my spots really don't seem to stick around as long any more. So overall I think I've found a fab night time cream for my every day routine.

My verdict 8 out of 10.

So onto how I came across the Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream now, well this time I actually wasn't browsing Superdrug. I know shock horror right?! I saw an article in a magazine and knew I needed to try it after loving the night cream so much.

Again this is designed to help fight the signs of ageing. Also it contains another seven active ingredients. Micro-peptides, Pro-Retinol, LHA, Vegetal plant cell extracts, Hyaluronc acid and Glycerin. Of course I'm still clueless as to what these all do but, the hyaluronic acid is in there again and pro-retinol and glycerin are both found in most anti ageing products. Plus a hand cream from avon has glycerin inside and my mum swears by it. So with all that inside it must be great right?

Well yes I really like this. At first I found the texture a little heavy for a morning cream, but after a while I realised that it actually made a great base for my make-up. It absorbs almost instantly and feels rather lovely on the skin.

This one states that it smoothes lines and wrinkles and firms the skin, and gives 24hr hydration. Well I can't comment on the 24hr hydration as I never go 24hrs without washing my face. But the firmness is definitely felt almost straight away and my skin does seem to look more smooth after applying. I also think that using both each morning and night is really giving my skin the much needed care it was lacking.

My verdict 7 out of 10.
I usually just buy the cheapest thing I can get my hands onto but I think I'm going to stick with these for a while as I'm loving how my skin is responding to them at the moment. I feel I may need something a little lighter in the summer months in the mornings but for now I have a great little routine each day and night.
