Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Review

Okay so slightly off topic for a moment. When I first became pregnant I couldn't stand the smell of a lot of products I'd normally use. Eyeshadow was one of those things, every time I opened my make-up bag I just wanted to throw it all away. I have no clue why I hated the smell so much but for the first few weeks of my pregnancy I couldn't face wearing any eyeshadow.

Luckily my sense of smell has calmed back down and I can finally wear eyeshadow again. Hence today's post.

I recently treated myself and bought the new Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette. All the shades in the palette are neutral and absolutely perfect for me. I've been using almost all of them in a number of different looks on my eyes, and I'm thinking of doing a post on the looks I'm loving, so let me know if you'd like to see that. I've been especially loving the top row. Most of the shades are shimmery but they have a few mattes thrown in. I always prefer to wear shimmery shades but a matte base is great for building a fab look on the eyes. On the back of the palette there are pictures on how best to use the shades but I prefer making up my own combinations.
I love using the lightest shade as a highlighter for the top of my cheeks too, it's more matte than shimmer so doesn't look to sparkly. it's also the one I use as a base most days. I think my favourite shade is the third one on the bottom. It's a beautiful golden bronze shade. and looks great on it's own or mixed with the other shades. I think this palette is such a great addition to any make-up lovers collection.
As you can see from the swatches they have great pigmentation, and for me I think this is a brilliant nude palette with really wearable shades for either day or night.

Have any of you tried this yet? What do you think?

Thanks Guys
Love Hayley

  1. I guess I find these neutral palettes just a bit too boring. :)

  2. This looks really like a beautiful Palette :) I have not heard or seen this one before but I will keep an eye out for it. It really reminds of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette with all of those pink toned nudes :) Do you think they're similar?

    1. It is such a gorgeous palette Sophie, I've never tried any Urban Decay palettes. I'd love them all to be honest but there so pricey I just can't justify it...

  4. I had this palette and used it religiously for college because it's just so easy create a beautiful look with! The only thing I found was that they creased a lot and didn't last long, did you have the same issue? Lovely post:) xo
