A Sunday Stroll Along The River

On Sunday I decided that instead of being stuck in doors on my day off, I would take my new camera (get excited...post coming soon all about it), out and have a little explore around outside. I was just going to venture to my local park and see what caught my eye, but my boyfriend suggested that I come to work with him.

You see he works in Staines and suggested that I have a stroll along the River Thames,
which is about 10 minutes away from where he works.

The day was lovely, all crisp, fresh and very sunny, perfect conditions really for having a play with my new camera.
I'm not sure why but when I first set off towards the Thames I got really anxious and felt like turning back. Possibly it could have been that I really don't know the area that well, or the fact that I had my fancy new camera hanging from my neck and was worried sick that I'd get robbed.

Thankfully I didn't get robbed and I kept walking to the river.

Once I was there it was utterly beautiful, hopefully my photos do it justice. There was so many wonderful things to see, plus all the ducks, geese and swans seemed to really enjoy having their pictures taken by me. :)
Somehow I managed to take over 200 photos, lol. I'm just sharing a few of my favourites with you today, but I think at some point I'm going to print them all off and start an adventure scrapbook.

Hands up who else loves scrap booking!?

It was so lovely strolling along without a care in the world. At one point I even started saying hello to passers by. I'm sure they thought I was mental. But you know what, I really don't care. I'm going to get out and about on my own like this again soon. I felt so great when I got home, tired but really happy.

Not only did I have fun, I'm also learning a new skill and just enjoying what the outdoors has to offer.
I hope you liked this style of post, as I think I'll share some more like this especially as I have the fancy new camera to practice with now don't I!

Thanks Guys
Love Hayley
