Review ~ Loreal Infallible 24h-Matte

Anyone else get shiny face syndrome by 1pm?

You know the whole make-up + sweat combination of shine that spreads across your cheeks. Or in my case my cheeks, forehead and chin.

For years I've had the whole 1pm shiny face thing and I am sick of it. Who's with me on how bloody annoying it is?!

When I'm running around all day at work, the last thing I need is for my make-up to be sweating off and sliding down my face. I also don't have the time to be reapplying it. I like to get ready in the mornings and not think about it again until I'm home washing it all off.
Well look no further, Loreal have come to my rescue.

The Loreal Infallible 24H-Matte foundation is a true wonder to me. I had never used a matte foundation before, and was a little worried that it wouldn't look good on me. (you know what with the whole cakey face look that you read about!) But I needn't have worried because it is now my go to foundation.
I take a small amount, put it on the back of my hand and using my duo fibre brush apply to my face. The coverage is great and the texture is really silky. Gone is the 1pm shine and in its place is lovely matte looking skin all day long. Having blemish prone skin too, this keeps all my imperfections covered brilliantly. Meaning I hardly need any extra concealer.

I also feel that the shade I chose 11 Vanilla is a perfect match for my olive skin tone.

I'm so glad I picked this up, and I actually don't think I'll ever go back to using a non matte foundation again.

One thing I would love now though is a life time supply, and possibly a bigger bottle as I'm already on my second one. (I only bought my first just over a month ago.)
Have any of you tried this? What are your thoughts? Do you like matte foundations?

Thanks Guys
Love Hayley

  1. I have dry skin, so this isn't for me. But I am happy you found something that works so well. :)
