Buttons Banana Bread

The other day whilst browsing Youtube as you do. Well I definitely do! I came across a fab video from Essie Button. Her Banana Bread Recipe. I love banana bread and got all inspired
so decided to give making some banana bread a go.

Here's how I got on..

Okay so first I got all my ingredients
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 50g softened butter
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 225g sef-raising flour
  • 175ml milk
  • 1/2 tbs vanilla extract
  • a hand full of cherries
  • 1 tbs baking powder
Then I popped my oven on 190'c, greased my tins and mixed all the ingredients together firstly by mashing the bananas with the milk, then creaming together the butter, flour, caster sugar and eggs. After I added them all together I dropped in the cherries, vanilla and baking powder. Once it was all mixed well I spooned the mixture into the tins and left them in the oven for around 60 minutes.
Here's the finished article, don't they look fab. Haha even if I'm saying so myself! Not bad for my second attempt at making banana bread. The first I won't mention. I'll leave that story for another day. (there were major baking issues)

I'm sure you all saw Essie's video but if you didn't here it is.

Feel free to make one yourself and if you do tag me in pictures over on Twitter @ItsJustMeHD

Thanks Guys
Love Hayley
